QC Profile

Quality Control of Panel Furniture

Raw Material Inspection

1. Sheet Material:Verify the quality certificates of particleboard, MDF (Medium - Density Fiberboard), and plywood. Check the thickness accuracy within a tolerance of ±0.1mm. Examine the surface for any defects like blisters, scratches, or unevenness. Test the formaldehyde emission level, ensuring it complies with relevant standards (e.g., E1 standard with formaldehyde emission ≤1.5mg/L).

2. Hardware:Inspect hinges, drawer slides, handles, etc. Check for smooth operation; hinges should open and close quietly and smoothly, and drawer slides should extend and retract effortlessly. Examine the surface finish of hardware for rust - resistance and durability through salt - spray tests for a specified time (e.g., 48 hours for basic requirements).

In - Process Quality Control

1. Cutting Process:Set cutting machines accurately to ensure the size error of cut panels is within ±0.5mm. Regularly check the sharpness of cutting tools; blunt tools can cause rough edges and inaccurate cuts.

2. Edge - Banding Process:Monitor the temperature and pressure during edge - banding. The edge - banding should be firmly adhered without any gaps or peeling. Check the thickness of the edge - banding strip, usually 0.4 - 3mm, depending on the product requirements.

3. Assembly Process:Train assemblers to follow assembly drawings precisely. Check the alignment of parts during assembly; holes should align accurately for screw insertion. Ensure that the assembled product has a stable structure, and all parts fit tightly together.

Final Product Inspection

1. Appearance Inspection:Examine the surface of the panel furniture under sufficient light. There should be no visible glue marks, color differences, or surface blemishes. The texture of the sheet material should be consistent.

2. Functionality Test:For furniture with movable parts like drawers and doors, conduct open - close tests at least 5000 times to ensure normal use. Check the load - bearing capacity of shelves and tabletops according to the design specifications.

3. Packaging Inspection:Verify that the packaging materials, such as cartons, foam, and corner protectors, are sufficient to protect the product during transportation. The product should be firmly fixed in the package without any room for movement.
